ADS Biotec Launches HANABI P7 High-Capacity Metaphase Auto Spreader
May 29, 2024 – Omaha, USA: ADS Biotec, a global leader in development of automated instruments and bio-consumables that increase productivity for Cytogenetic, Pathology, and Molecular Genetics in clinical and research laboratories is pleased to introduce the HANABI P7 High-Capacity Metaphase Auto Spreader. The HANABI P7 is the newest cytogenetic automation product from ADS Biotec, offering high throughput and consistent spreading to chromosome metaphase slides. The HANABI P7 High-Capacity Metaphase Auto Spreader is a benchtop device that offers the best control to spread cell suspensions, with the capacity to process up to 24 samples per run and up to 72 slides in under an hour. The system is designed to provide tight environmental control of temperature, humidity, and airflow, resulting in metaphase samples dropped automatically onto the slides, and dried, all in a consistent and reproducible manner.

With the HANABI P7 High-Capacity Metaphase Auto Spreader, excessive spreading and chromosome overlaps are minimized, giving rise to better yields of analyzable metaphases. The chromosome spreading process for conventional G-banding and FISH analysis of samples derived from blood cells or bone marrow samples is now more streamlined and can easily be carried out regardless of skill level
