ADS Biotec Launches White Paper on Revolutionary use of HANABI AVATAR™ Organoid Growth Media

ADS Biotec, in collaboration with the Transcriptomic Research Lab at the National Cancer Institute in Milan, Italy, conducted a study to compare the performance of the newly available HANABI AVATAR™ Colon Organoid Culture Media from ADS Biotec against media made in the lab, which had been optimized over many recipe iterations, in a combined cultured study. The results of the study are published in this white paper which delves into the application of the HANABI AVATAR™ Colon Organoid Growth Media, a unique formulation designed to support the robust growth, viability, and reproducibility of colon organoid cultures.

Extended Growth Performance: Extended culture of colon organoids in HANABI AVATAR™ Colon Media results in improved growth across different colon disease conditions, both benign and malignant.
Reproducibility and Reliability: Culture with HANABI AVATAR™ media increased proliferation while maintaining comparable expression of glandular and colorectal markers.
Case Studies: Experiments were conducted using patient-derived organoids.

During the study, three different disease states of colorectal cancer (adenoma, colorectal cancer, metastasis) were utilized to examine whether the HANABI AVATAR™ Colon Organoid Media from ADS Biotec improved organoid culture. In long-term cultures, for each of the three conditions, the HANABI AVATAR™ media resulted in greater numbers of organoids being grown than with the Lab Made media.
